UPDATE – 27TH MAY 2020

We would respectfully remind owners that all of our parks remain closed and access to holiday caravans is not permitted.

Although a date for re-opening has yet to be confirmed, we are looking at the latest Government guidelines while planning and adapting, so that we are prepared to open with the appropriate social distancing in place. The safety of our owners and staff remains a priority.
We continue to adhere to the current guidance issued by the Government and are following updates as they are released, so please keep visiting our website as we will regularly post any new information.

UPDATE 11th MAY 2020

After the latest Government’s announcement yesterday (10 May) extending the UK lockdown for a further few weeks, our parks still remain closed until further notice. Please keep checking back here as we’ll review this as and when the Government changes its current advice.

Our decision is based on the Government’s clear advice for there to be no non-essential travel and for all holiday accommodation, restaurants, pubs and leisure facilities to close, while the UK comes together to control the spread of Coronavirus.

Our parks will NOT allow visitors on to site to visit family members who are currently residing on site.

Island Meadow Parks will not facilitate non-essential movement onto our parks until the Government relaxes the restrictions relating to the hospitality sector.

We will update our website accordingly.

Stay safe

UPDATE 21TH APRIL 2020

Good morning owners,

With the summer season approaching we are receiving a high volume of calls from owners asking if they can visit their holiday homes to ‘check’ on things. The government’s advice remains the same:

People should avoid travel unless it is essential.
Essential travel does not include visits to second homes, camp sites, caravan parks or similar. People must remain in their primary residence. Not taking these steps puts additional pressure on communities and services that are already at risk.
Stay at home, protect the NHS, save lives.

At the moment the virus is preventing you from visiting your holiday home, but we want you to know that until this crisis comes to an end we are working as hard as possible to look after the parks.

Measures are in place to allow essential maintenance to be carried out on the parks.

During this period of temporary closure, we are continuing to invest in the future of our parks. We have always invested in our business and will continue to do so. We are very happy to make this financial commitment as it will ensure we are able to resume quickly and strongly, providing our services to you when we receive the word to re-open. We are confident that Island Meadow Parks will bounce back, stronger than ever providing you with the same high standards of which we are so proud.

We know that this is a difficult time for everyone. We would usually be welcoming you all to the parks. However, as the official advice has not changed then we ask you NOT to visit the parks for any reason. Please DO NOT call the office asking if you can visit the parks. Please only contact the parks for EMERGENCIES ONLY. We are working extremely hard to ensure that the parks are ready to reopen as soon as the government advice changes and we can look forward to welcoming you back.

Island Meadow Parks

UPDATE: 6TH APRIL 2020

The situation remains unchanged since the previous update. All of our parks remain closed until further notice. We will provide more information about when the parks are likely to re-open once government advice has been announced.

Please continue to keep an eye on our website for further updates.

UPDATE: FRIDAY 20TH MARCH 2020

Island Meadow Parks remains open for business as usual, though we are mindful and aware of the ever-changing guidance relating to Coronavirus and its continuing spread. We have reviewed our procedures to ensure we are maintaining our usually high standards throughout the facilities buildings.

The information and state of play is subject to change daily and we will update this page as and when changes occur.

For now, we would like to reassure our customers that we will remain open. However, if you consider yourself to be vulnerable or a member of your party is, please consider whether this is a sensible time to be coming on holiday.

Your cooperation:

We do ask that in all cases, if you are showing signs of symptoms, please refrain from using the Launderette and Post Room for the safety and consideration of other guests. These facilities can be a source of virus transmission, even though we have robust cleaning practices in place. Therefore, it is suggested that where possible you use the facilities within your own accommodation.

We ask that all owners and guests follow these simple snippets of advice from the government and a few requests of our own:

· Wash your hands regularly. We’ve provided some inspirational posters in all our wash areas to make the handwashing process a little bit more tuneful.

· Maintain good hygiene practices such as using tissues when you cough or sneeze and dispose safely of this tissue.

· Maintain a sensible distance from other site users and staff members and avoid contact such as handshakes.

· Please pay by card where possible. · Email us on info@islandmeadow.co.uk or call us on 01243 670207 to let us know if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.

Holiday Home Owners: If you are self-isolating in your caravan to avoid the virus but have no symptoms, please let us know.

If you are self-isolating in your caravan as you are showing signs of symptoms, please let staff in reception know by telephone (01243 670207) and avoid contact with staff members or other owners.

We ask that you refrain from using any of the public access spaces (e.g post room, reception, laundry) if you are self-isolating. If you require any assistance from staff, please contact reception by phoning 01243 670207 and not coming in in person.

We are not changing our policy on supermarket food deliveries so they will still be allowed on park. As a result, please consider carefully whether you are suitably prepared for a potentially extended stay within your holiday home.

In light of the loo roll shortage, there may be a temptation to use wet wipes or alternatives, please be reminded that our sewage system cannot break down these and this may lead to blockages. Do not flush any wipes – even ones that suggest they are flushable

WEDNESDAY 18TH MARCH 2020
